DSC06276DSC06277DSC06278My boyfriend’s closest childhood friend Eser from Turkey now lives in Wrocław, Poland and their reunion was long overdue. Eser graciously let us stay in our apartment, and we spent the next few days with him and his friend Magda…

The first night after dinner, Eser took us to a classy bar filled with old Hollywood memorabilia. It was here that I was first introduced to Zubrowka (Polish bison grass vodka) mixed with apple juice (which was dangerously good and tasted just like apple pie). After awhile a live singer took the floor with her band and we were serenaded with rich, yet unobtrusive melodies for the rest of the night.

The next night we drank delicious rose wine, snacked on plates of cream-filled chocolates and chips and watched the brilliant Django Unchained.

It was the perfect home away from home before we made our way to Krakow.
